Eibach Pro Kit

I'm almost positive I asked this a while ago but I'll ask again. The people out there with Pro Kits, how is your ride? Fairly the same? Bumpy? A little stiffer? I want to fill the gap in the wells but never changed rim size I just put on chromed stock ones instead. Not sure I like the way it looks with stock rubber dropped. Any input? Thanks everyone.

when i installed the prokit with my stock shocks the ride was pretty much like stock. Just a little stiffer. After a while my rebound and compression sucked. My shocks got weak and wore out so i got tokicos. after the tokicos the ride was better. It was actually stiffer and did not compress as much so my car never scraped the ground during compression. It was tight suspension. in my experience, ride quality depends on the spring AND the shocks. a soft cushy ride is offered with the pro kit and stock shocks but the stiffer sportier ride happens to be with the tokicos. Thats my experience with my suspension. But installing the pro kits will stil keep the ride very confortable and very close to stock. Hope this helps. Many other ppl have pro kits in the forum so they will reply soon to offer their imput.

I'm gonna be getting the ProKits and KYB AGX from Cox Import. $190 shipped for the springs and $360 shipped for the shocks... great deal.

Anyway, the stock shocks are so soft even when they're new, I wouldn't consider putting any sort of aftermarket spring on them. Looks aren't worth the compromised handling, IMO.

my tire size is 215-45-18. and the prokit with tokicos dropped the car to where the tire almost meets the fender. there is only like a 1-2 finger gap. It was supposed to lower 1.3 but i think it settled to as low as the sportlines which are 1.7. After the installation of the tokico shocks the car rides more sporty and doesnt bounce as much. Its a stiff bounce instead of the constant bouncing up and down on the freeway. Sorry i do NOT have any pics of my ride but it does look good with the drop . and looks alot better with 18s than the 17s i had on before. hope this helps.

ok i know that like 45's have a higher sidewall than 35's but i'm not sure what the difference in the 215's and the 225's have. beacuse what i want are Racing Hart D5000; white in 18x7.5 and i wanted something really low profile like 35's or 40's but i'm not sure what other number i need to be looking at.

225/45 17

225mm wide

sidewall height=45% of 225

17" wheel

So a 225/45 will have a taller sidewall than a 215/45.

oops!!!!...........i have 215-40-18 not 45 series. Sorry guys!
Anyway my sidewall is 40% of 215 mm. so 40% of 225 will be a little higher. I wouldnt go 35 cuz that is very thin and will bent up ur rims very quick. I still think 40 is thin. 225-40-18 is a perfect fit for our CLs. I just got 215 so i know it will NEVER rub because it is slightly more narrow. 225 will not rub either so im safe.

so your sayin 225-40-18's would fit perfect on RH D5000's in 18x7.5; and that with a prokit drop would sit perfect????

yes that will look great. But i do know that some people who got the pro kits installed did not notice a drop or it sits evenly. If the spring drop the car1.5" all around than the rims and drop will look great. I had good luck with my springs lowering my car the way i want it to. But i do know people who are not satisfied wit the eibach drop because the back was lower ..etc... But the tires and rims will fit together nicely.
