OK i have a completily stock 99 3.0 CL and i was thinking of doing a reprogram of the ECU. What the best way the approch this. and were cant i get some one to do this for me.

 

why would you want to do that to a completely stock car

 

well like i said im new at this. what do u supose i do for a performace upgrade.

 

my recommendation is if you have to ask how to do it, its better if you leave it alone.
the cl isnt really a high powered car, our ecu's are fine stock

you can get a vafc mod. thats about all i would do to it. even then you need to get all the mods intake, headers, exhaust, cams, etc. before you have it tuned or youll need it retuned everytime you modd something. but its only gonna give you like 8hp tops. and for 200+$ its not worth it imo.

 

And yeah VAFC is the way to go, but like will said, you have to do a lot of mods to notice ANY difference

You can't reflash our ecu's. You have to go with a piggyback.

 

get a full exhaust, intake, cams then worry about it. at that very time start looking into megasquirt by far your best option

 

ive heard of that. first i heard about it was 2 years ago. i've heard very good things on it
