Door Rattle

Okay so i found what was rattling in my door its the freakin side accent piece that goes along the car you know the little strip.
Well its loose so everytime my subs hit that thing rattles like crazy.

My question is before i rip open the doors can it even be fixed like are there bolts holding that strip in or those ghetto black plastic shits that honda uses for everything???

If black shits what can i do to eliminate the rattle?

See what im hoping is that it is actually a bolt on piece so i can possibly be able to tighten a few bolts and fix the rattle.

And yes im talking about the outside trim piece not the woodgrain .

Only other rattle i got is the trunk bars that open the trunk and those are fixed by stuffing a old bike tube inbetween the brake lamp and the bars. but will be changed to dynamat or sum cheaper substitute in the future.

Thinking of dynamating the doors aswell but im not sure how much its worth doing that.

Any suggestions about the fix and also the dynamatting of the doors???

I dynamatted my doors, doesn't make a big difference as far as bass rattles, but it helps when people like my g/f slam my doors!

im 100% sure its plastic clips holding it in.. i'd suggest taking the door apart and taking the molding off.. the clips are easy to break though, use pliers to squeeze them inside the door and push them outward instead of just pulling the molding. then you should put some double sided tape, like 3m emblem tape along the whole back side of the molding and pop it back in place

I had the same rattle for what seems like forever.

Well, I took the door panel off and popped the molding off, cleaned both sides with rubbing alcohol to get rid of any of the old tape. I took 1" wide double sided tape (the foamy one that you get at hobby stores, im sure you can get the same crap at home depot) and I cut about 2" strips of it. I covered the holes that clips go through. I cut the squares out of the tape where the clips go through.

Put it all back together and no more rattling...

Just wanted to bring back an old post to tell people how to make it go away if your door rattles.

Searching FTW

Way to search man, you guys should also try putting a dynamat door kit if you have any rattling or movement of the door panels, works wonders

So if you went to take these things off there would be holes? I think it would look 10x better without them on there
