Hey, just wondering, has anyone purchased or used one of the car computer scanners? I was thinking of buying http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MINT-...07123436QQrdZ1 and a universal chip for another 150$. Has anyone ever used one of these or somthing similar? I was basically just looking for somthing to check the codes on the ole' CL.

 

Thats a nice piece for the money.. has tonnes of features. Howerer you will need the import programming for it to make it work properly with your CL. and that is $$$ It will however funstion just fine for pulling codes.

If all you are after is a cheapo scanner to pull the obdII codes and turn off the check engine light look into equis scanners. I picked up a part # 0303 a few days ago for 65$

you would never need anything like that. i have a pocket scanner. you hook it up get the code and then look online or in a manual to figure out what it means

ShiNEy, my engine light came on !!! sais its the catylist malfuntion or something like that. I replaced the o2s, still goes on, so, will i need a new cat ? the h23 mani is going on so the egr on that will be clean, only leaving the cat left. lmk what you think

this is the same scanner i use, and its HOT!!!.. great price... someone should jump on it asap.
