Damn Gauges

i installed my reverse indiglo gauges yesterday and boy they are a bicth to put on. Next time im going to pay a pro to do it, cause i got stressed out.

anyway everything was set up nice. I put the gauges over the old ones, but knowq the needles don't work. Any idea why not?

everything is connected well, oh my friend did them for me, but ithink he did wrong. Hwe connected it to the radio fuse. so when ever the radio turns on the gauges turn on. How can i make it turn on to my parking lights.

HELP ME what can i do to make my needles work again?

what do you mean the needles dont work? you have a 97 if i remember right so the needles dont light up like on the 98 and up.

are you saying the needles dont move when the car turns on?

or do the gauges not turn on properly. he should have wired the gauges to a constant power source, like the dimmer or the parking lights. those are the ones that work without the battery having to be turned on.

anyhow... there are a couple of threads about indiglo installs and problems in the archives.

hope that helps.

I would suggest to check those connectors on the back of the cluster, too.

yah, what they said! Also check to make sure you put all those aluminum screws back in on the back of the gauges.... if you took them out that is. Is there a fuse for the gauges???

yeaa, definety make sure you have the screws in the faces. if the needles are touching the gauge faces at all, they won't move, they're pretty sensitive like that.
