I was going to do them yesterday, but I wasn't aware it was going to take that long to take the rear windows off. I read taking the front windows off were about a 4 hour job.

Question, our wheel wells aren't part of the frame correct? I can cut and reform one if I needed to?

^ That question has been bugging me for about 2 weeks.

4 hour job? all your doing is popping off the side panels and unscrewing the window i thought? I doubt it takes 4 hours. Are you putting a net on just the driver side then lexan on the passenger side or what?

I read on a diy for another car it took him 4 hours. He had step by step instructions with pics. I've never done it before. I always thought it'd be an hour to hour and a half job. Looked easy to me.

As for the nets, it'd be on both front windows. I'll put those on when I get my cage.

The only way I can see how itd take long to take the window out would be because maybe you have to do something with the sealing around the window so you can actually pull the window out. But im pretty sure there are just screws if i remember correctly holding it on a ledge that the window regulator moves up and down.

LOL. Yes sir, I have a Titan as a daily driver. I towed my car to the shop with it, and towed it back home once we were finished.

In my Work Emotion's thread you'll see the titan in the driveway. Before that, I had a z3 and the lexus rx300 as a daily (not at the same time).

Looking good! what kind of paint did you use to paint the chrome trim around the windows? I've been looking into it and I have yet to find a solid answer on what paint will work the best...

Went to get the vinyl done to the outter edges of the window to hide the silicone and such. The gentleman there told me to just paint it with a particular spray paint he showed me. I bought it in flat black, and will show you guys what it looks like this weekend. Just wanted to keep you updated.

Well I just took off the door windows so that I can install window nets. Total weight for windows and such is 32 lbs for both sides. Now this should be easily 100lbs I took off if you include the rear windows I replaced with lexan (I said it was about 60+lbs). I took her around the corner with the 235's azenis, and spun them on a roll through 2nd. haha, i love this car.

But, once the cage is installed, it'll most likely offset the weight I just took off. oh well...

Well I shattered the driver side window by accident. I had every unbolted, but couldn't figure out how to take the window off the track. It was clipped on, and I was attempting to unclip it when it shattered. So with the 2nd window, I learned that you had to take off a strip to get to 4 screws, to pull the track off going upwards. This took the window off the track.

There is this one bolt that requires the window to be rolled down just enough to where you can see it through this hole in order for you to get to it with the rachet.

Overall, it's not a hard job. Just took for me to mess up one window to figure out how to do it right. I thought I had it, but you live and learn right.

Yes sir, that is true. But the events that I've been to, it's required to run with your windows completely down.
