Coil overs are better. A spring like eibach, though a lowering spring is only half as good as a coil over. Coil overs are better because it is a combo for lowering and performance, that has both parts (the shock and the spring) and they are made to work together. A spring like eibach will add additional stress to your stock strut, and u will need to upgrade your strut(shocks) as well. You can do good combos of springs and struts on your own, but if you are willing to spend a little more, coils are the better investment, because they are made to work together as one unit, they also will give u a bigger drop if you're looking for that.

coilovers are worth getting if you want to adjust your height (ie. raise it for the winter, lower for the summer)

if not just get springs but i say coilovers > springs

Sorry that me being a noob, i saw they were called coilovers...

I seen them on ebay for a total of 50bucks, I am guess thats for only the adjustable springs.

Has anyone here got them working with the OEM shocks?

had ebay ones, they were okay. worked well and no problems. but if you want quality, go with the D2's or teins , they are really nice.

What price range are those brands?

I am dumping about 1K's on some 18s MMs w/ tires and got about 500 bucks left for suppension.

I dont want the slam look because of the bad roads in DC.

I want about 1.5 drop to be a little safe... =]

why not try and find cheaper rims, cuz D2's i believe are about $800ish and teins are in the k's. if you dont want an insane drop, ebay ones arent for you. they drop you about 2.5 inches at its highest adjustment

you can get a prokit and kyb agx shocks for about 500 brand new shipped, and they give you about that size drop. they are both very quality products, from what i hear.

ive got em waiting for me back at home and wont be able to put them on for about 2 weeks or so. ill be in DC about 2 weeks after that, so ill let you know how they feel on those roads. i also have 18s waiting for me, but im not sure ill put them on or not during the winter.
