LOL

Anyway what he meant was disconnect the battery for a while. Take off either the negative or possitive side of the battery, or both. Its a 10mm nut on the terminals unless they are not stock. Remember, you will lose all your settings and presets on your radio. This will reset everything. One other thing that i always do is once i disconnect the cables, i open the door and turn on the lights to discharge anything thats in the system, but thats me.

being that your in wisconsin (cold) you prolly got a dead/dying battery. that can make sensors give false readings.

congrats on passing! it could be the alternator. had similiar problem with my 240sx b4. the car radio died, the gauges died. i had the battery tested and it was fine. after replacing the alternator it was all good. there's a way to do an alternator test. first start the car and while the engine is running, disconnect the negative of your battery. if the car continues to run it's not ur alternator but if the car shuts off then u need a new alternator.

sounds like bad alternator. well the voltage regulator inside the alternator. which is why your guages are goin all crazy.
