Does yours squeek when depressed or all the time? My clutch sounds like a bunch of crickets chirping, but just the slightest pressure on the clutch pedal and it stops. My throw out bearing is causing my noise, because of the clutch is vibrating slightly.

does it squeak when you push on or let off the pedal... or is it when you start to engage the clutch??

If its with the pedal movement, your slave cylinder may be going bad ($20 to replace) or it could just be squeaking where the slave cylinder piston meets the arm.

If its squeaking when you start to engage the clutch, it may be getting close to time for a new clutch.

BTW mace, where in mass do u live?

mine sqweaks too. It only does it when the clutch is being depressed, it functions perfectly just sounds like it needs a little oil somewhere.

my accord did that too, its the arm that connects the slave cylinder to the clutch assembly... I sprayed wd-40 on the arm where it meets the slave cylinder... and it stopped squeaking... that was like a month ago and still no squeaking.

Mine's doing the exact same thing as you Mace...where did you spray??? Did you just go under the dash and spray upwards or did you have to go under the car???

If you open the hood and look right on the front of the tranny... just to your left (as your facing the front of the car) of the exhaust manifold you'll see the clutch slave cylinder and the engagement arm... you may want someone to push on the clutch if you have trouble spotting it. Just spray where the piston meets the arm, and you should be fine. WD-40 has a drying agent in it though, so it may, over time, start squeaking again... if so you may want to find some lubricant with silicone or teflon in it.

theres a pivot point for that arm, inside the clutch housing (just inside that rubber boot) where it may be squeaking from. I dont recomend spraying in there though, if it gets on the clutch you will probably have some slipping issues.
