Clutch prob

I took my car to the dealer today to get ball joint recall. But lateley I think my clutch is been slipping. If I'm at about 4000rpm and floor it, the engine revs but doesn't go anywhere! Does this sound like clutch? Anyone else have this problem? 97 2.2 w/ almost 100K miles. Dealer is going to look at it, but I wanted to know what I'm up against!

i doubt they'll have to replace the flywheel, but the dude at the dealership said if they do, it'll be $970.00 WTF!!!

Yeah, the labor for replacing a clutch is about the same as that of the clutch itself. Neither one of the clutches in my Subarus made it past 15k mi, but the one in the CL is still holding strong at 39k mi.

it's most likely your clutch. your better off buying an aftermarket one and taking it to a shop and having them put it in. you'll save yourself a couple hundred dollars than going to the dealer.
