My first question. I decided to clean my injen filter today (too dirty). I cleaned it with soap and a brush. It seems that some of the oil in the filter is still there (that's good). Will my filter be fine, if I cleaned this way?

Second question.... For some reason, my car seems slower than normal. After I got it back from the dealer for the egr valve, the car accelerates slower when I try to floor it. But the thing is, the engine light is not even on, so i'm thinking nothing could be wrong right?

I notice my car got alot slower. I raced my friends stock integra ls manual, rims and drop. I have 2.2 cl auto intake, exhaust, headers and drop. I lost twice and won once. A month before, I raced a teg ls manual (good driver) intake, exhaust, gutted interior and lost by a half a car. I know this car is slow but, it got alot slower. Sometimes, I press the pedel all the way down and nothing happens..... I use to be able to feel alittle jump and the engine worked harder. What is going on?

 

I notice a big acceleration difference. Anyone know what can cause this?

 

your car is ageing.. thats all i could think of..

complain to the people who fixed the EGR.. maybe they messed up your car..

 

Ugh that is like a big no no. The only thing that keeps the dirt from getting into ur engine is the oil. The filter itself doesn't really do anything much by itself. Please buy the kit to clean and do it correctly.

 

ur computer has to get used to the new egr valve. it takes up tp a week for this to happen or u can disconnect ur battery for 15 min.

 

you dont' supposed to wash your reusable filter w/ soap and brush and not re oil it.

you're only supposed to use the specific cleaning solution and run the dirt out w/ water. the oil is what traps the dirt. no wonder your engine is funky

 

did you let it dry out? if not it could have collapsed
