what does a 3.0 check engine light indicate when it only comes on at WOT /heavy press on gas,usually high speeds,

vtec seems to be working right

i reset it by disc. battery but comes on if i do the above(note,it doesnt happen every time i use hard acceleration,but 3/10 it does)

why don't you take it to autozone and have them check out the cel.

to some degree, sometimes its general.
acouple months ago i got a cel for IAC, so the acura dealership replaced the IAC. but the problem was the fitv.

It means stop driving at high speeds and thinking your 3.0 is a race car

 

i'd definitely go pull the code asap then.

 

dam,i hope theres nothing serious wrong,cant afford to fix anything as of now,iwas thinking of driving it a few more years and throwing a low mileage engine on it,i found one with 40,000 for only $900
