Check Engine Light

Alright this is pissing me off.. My check engine light came on this morning... So i get to school and hook up the scanner to see what it was. Reads it and says no codes were thrown. So i take that scanner off and hook up a different one. Same thing says no code was thrown.. But my light is on. So i clear it so the light turns off. On my way home from work it comes back on. Go to my garage get my scanner. Same thing says nothing was thrown... The light only comes on when i am getting off the freeway if that matters. Yes i used the right keys in the scanner to make sure it would read it. Any ideas on why it isnt pulling the codes up?

But see the part that i dont understand is why the scanner isnt picking up a code. Ive scanned many cars before (seen as i work at a dealership) and this has never happened before. Ive never scanned this car before either. Any ideas on why the scanner isnt reading anything. Just says P0000 for a code and says no codes were found. But if the CEL is coming on then a DTC is being thrown somewhere. So therefore it has to read something.
