Check Engine Light
Today I was driving to my girlfriends house when all of the sudden my Check engine light turned on.... I was like "okay"?? There was no difference in driving at all. When i got there I checked my oil, no problem. Then I looked in the manual and it told me to check if the fuel cap was loose. Well I had no clue no i tightened it more. It said that if this was the problem it will turn off after 3 trips.... what else could be the problem??

Instructions on how to find out the check engine light code.
Underneath your glove compartment there is a blue connector. It is towards the passenger side of the car. After you find it it must be unconnected. Once it is disconnected get a paper clip and connect one end of the paper in one hole and the other end in the other hole. Next put your key in the ignition and turn it to II (not all the way on) while the paper clip is in both holes of the blue connector. The check engine light will turn off for a second and then blink the engine code for the problem. Long flashes are 10 and short flashes are ones. Ex. you see 6 long flashes and 5 short flashes= engine code 65. If you don't see it the first time don't worry it will repeat over and over until the car is turned off. Once you get the code turn the car off. Connect the blue connector to its proper place. Go to your compter and go to http://www.syrupcity.net/~niedejb/index.html niedejb's home page and look up the engine code. Once you find out your code post it up and we might be able to tell you how to fix it. Good luck
Here's a pic of the blue connector.
And don't forgot to tell niedejb thank you for post up the codes!
Edit: For some stupid reason I can't attach the same pic twice so heres a link of were i posted it before http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=62701

p0401egr flow i went to Honda today and for free they hooked up their testing device... which is sweet I must say, and they got the problem P0401 EGR FLOW code from the Engine Light indicator. Since the nearest Acura Dealer is in Fort Wayne Indiana ( almost 2 hours away) I got pissed. I called the dealer and they said it is under warranty and that they could fix it for free. Is there anything I could do or a way that Honda can fix it for me free??

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
My check engine light came on about three weeks ago. I took it to the dealer and they said it was an egr valve. they have alot of problems on thewe models, so much so I have had to wait three weeks for the part to come in. Next week I am going to have it installed ....NO CHARGE.

Yes I had mine replaced all for free. 9 times out of 10 its going to be your EGR valve. It won't do any damage to the emission systems if you drive on it, but just stop by the acura dealer and make sure to grab a loaner car.
