Check Engine

Just got my catalytic converter replaced and about 50 miles after driving the check engine light pops on. Figured maybe the computer needs to be reset, so i disconnect the battery, reconnect and check engine light is off, drive another 50 miles and low and behold the light pops back on. Any clues on this one guys, or can i run a self-diagnostic, thanks in advance

yeah some of the codes aren't on there so get the code... from that blue wire harness...

u need one of those small paper clips I used one of those larger thicker ones... doesn't really fit into the wire harness... and then count the blinks and call a dealer or a repair place if neidejb doesn't have the code on his page.

probably something with the O2 sensor though.

Ok i pulled down the code, came back with 7 short blinks, so the corresponding code is Throttle Position Input Low/High. Honestly dont know what that means, any help would be appreciated. If it was an 02 sensor I was wondering how much that might cost to replace. THanks in advance

Scratch that code 7, I went out again, this time with a small paper clip, and time after time I got a unanimous code 67, catalyst under threshold, im guessing something wrong with the new cat.

catalyst does not = catalytic converter...

so can't help u there... try resetting ECU pull out the backup radio fuse and ECU fuse and disconnect battery for 15-20 minutes...

remember to get the radio code first if u still got stock head unit.

then put it all back together let it run on idle for 15 mins and should fix it, not sure for how long....

catlyst DOES = catalytic converter. inside the catlytic converter is a ceramic like "catlyst". take it back to whomever put it on and have them put a new one on. DON'T take that "the car takes time to get used to it crap." like i know they are gonna say. u need a new cat....again...sorry.
