i think they are required by federal law to warrant the emissions system for 10 years/100k miles, and yes there are a lot of cats on e bay but most of them are high flow or are just a resonator.

You should be fine if you get one from car sound your smog laws arent that strict and check back to the dealer I think They are suppose to put in a new one if its under 70k miles. Thats how it is in California.

nj's smog laws are almost as bad as cali's. i lived there for 6 years. anyways. if its blocked up it will glow red hot like a burner on a stove. it could cause u to burn out the exhaust valves, and cost u two heads. very expensive. jersey looks under ur car w/a mirror for e-checks so the aftermarket one will not do.(unless it "looks" stock) u cannot get one out of a junkyard cause its illegal to remove a working cat. ur best bet would be a muffler shop. prolly like $350 or so.

I got some new rims so i will post some new pics right after i do my trunk and get my headrest tv's. I got lucky and found a cat at a shop known as random tech in so.cal. they will ship it to me within two days. they were recommended to me by comptech, so they should be reliable. hopefully it will work cause i really dont wanna get rid of this car.
