Car doesn't start, need some help.
I have a 97 2.2cl. When I switch the ignition ON and start my car, it won't star. I also heard some noise from the fuse box and the dash, the noise is like a mouse clicking sound. check Battery ,it is ok. when I turn on the headlight, I can hear the mouse clicking noise from the dash and the underhood fuse box. also when I try to start my car, the dash light is turning darker. when I remove the key, and switch the iginition on again, the dash light becomes normal. All the fuse are ok. Everything was normal last night.
is it a lighting relay problem? or the starter? or battery is dead. Is it expensive to replace it? Can I do it myself? I'm not good at fixing car. thank you guys.

my guess is its your battery.. take your battery to a kragen or auto supply store to get it checked.. if thats not it.. get your alternator checked.. and if thats not it.. check to see all your wires are grounded right.. and if thats not it.. check your house for gophers, as they like to chew on wiring

Thank you for your suggestion. I just tried jump starting my car. on the first 5 minutes, I couldn't start it. but I let the jump cable stay there for about 5 minutes, my car can start. I let my car run for about 15 minutes, then turn it off. I tried to start again, the car couldn't start, I was in the same situation. Should I change my battery? or is it another serious problem? like starter, alternator or something else.

try disconnecting your battery while the car is running. If the car cuts off, you need a new alternator. If it stays on, it's fine. you got any ind light's on?

Glad the battery was all it was, having a dead bat sucks, but at least it's an easy fix
