The cops here look for stuff like that and I've had no problems with mine *knocks on wood* I even passed inspection with it. I have the lighter of the 2 rockblocker tints, the 20% it's black enough to look sexy, but the brake lights and such come right through it like it's not even there. Here's what it looks like on my car, they use me for one of their gallery demos.

its illegal if it covers up your reflectors, which it does. I dont think your spoiler reflector is enough to let you go. Id say get it anyways, screw the cops. and while youre at it take off your front plate, and tint your windows.

Spoiler reflector won't do anything for you. New lights are made tinted and black because they still expose the reflctors like klepto said

i like acura
yea klepto is right, its just the reflector. I thought about just mounting some 1/2 inch reflector strips next to my liscense plate in the gap so they cant bug me about it even if they want to. but ive been pulled over many times, even for the tinted liscense plate cover and he didnt even say anything then

blackack, what do you use on the tints?
rockblocker said it's fine wax them, but my wax says "not for use on vinyl" which these tints are, i think.
basically, my tails are looking kind of dull.. i want to make em shine again like in this pic

oh well
Well i did a little reasearch for it and got the official word:
Vehicle Code section 24600(e) states:
Taillamps shall be red in color and shall be plainly visible from all distances within 500 feet to the rear except that taillamps on vehicles manufactured after January 1, 1969, shall be plainly
visible from all distances within 1,000 feet to the rear.
so much for a rear tinted street legal car. (i know cops may not pull me over but background check + tickets for dumb shit = bad news for wanna be cops.)
