If you want the AEM, this is a great price: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6764

If you want a generic: http://www.procarparts.com/store/dis...XXXX-V606-CAIS [Remember to get a K&N Filter.]

NO, you don't need it.

In theory, it is supposed to keep water from being sucked up into your intake (if you decide to drive through a lake) by blocking the air path to your engine).

There are those who swear by it. Many (like me) say it's a waste of money. Just don't drive through any puddles which will completely submerge the filter under water.

HEY...I was gonna get that one when I get paid tomorrow!!! Stay away!!!!

So basically, any CAI tube will do just as long as you get a K&N filter for it...and maybe a bypass valve?

Has anyone heard anything from anyone with a AEM V2 CAI? I don't wanna spend the $$ for a reg AEM if the AEM V2 is much better.

EDIT: Where can you get a K&N to fit that tube? For what car or part# do you order?

I bought mine from my local speed shop. I threw the box out, and don't remember the part number.

Keep in mind that the part # will be determined on the particular CAI that you have. Mine is different from the one I mentioned above.

BTW: The guy selling the AEM CAIs on eBay puts a new auction on every week. So, there will be plenty to choose from!

True. Did some searching on the K&N site for universal filters. You gotta get the flange diameter first, and that varies from one CAI brand to another.

I guess it'd be better to buy from a local shop instead of ordering it online. That way you can immediately try it on, instead of having to ship it back and have them charge you 20% restocking fee if it's the wrong one.

What's that one tuner shop by the Merrifield Mulitplex....CDE or something?

Not sure about speed shops in VA. I'm over in MD, and got mine from Maryland Performance Center.

Nah, we were just fucking with you. You just bought the wrong part! :P

You bought the right one.

You should be able to put it in yourself. It's fairly easy.

Just got a reply back from Adventon. No, they do not have the V2 in stock yet. They said "around April." But they don't disclose that on their website and online purchase check-out.

he asked if they were in stock, and they said yes

he ordered it 5 minutes later, and called again
then they said it was on back order

wtf is that? he cancelled it on the spot
