Hello all, I was under the impression that my high center brake light bulb was burned out and when i got in thier to change it i discovered that the bulb was not hooked up to the the wire at all. but athe only male plug & wire that fits it is being used by the LED lights on the spoiler. Both are OEM and were working in 99 when i bought it new. now the only reason i noticed the brake light problem was because i was fallowing my wife home after picking it up from the stereo shop. so should i be concerned about this mysterous 2 nd wire missing or was there never one and instead the wire plugs into something that then is able to be plugged into both the high brake light behind the rear window and the spoiler at the same time?

 

i cant help but to notice your mods list says you bought an aem intake but changed to a K&N filter...............you do know that AEM uses K&N filters right?

 

sorry for yet another type-o. No I did not change to a K&N, I am using the Original filter that the CAI came with. Does you car have a OEM spoiler? IF so can you look in the trunk and tell me if the wire with the male plug that is going into the trunk is plugged into some kind of adapter that then goes to the high brake light bulb and the spoiler's led brake light wire? or are there 2 complete and seperate wires being used to power these 2 sets of lights?

 

Mine came like that from the factory, the 3rd brake light is not used when you have a wing, the wire only goes to one place or the other. Trust me
