lol.. u bought 9005 bulbs.. does it fit for your high beam harness?

just get a pocket knife.. or exacto-knife and shafe off the "grooves/tabs"

and if you're gonna get blue bulbs off ebay, buy nokya 100W 9006 bulbs

Were you trying to replace the outer or inner bulbs? I have the 9006 sylvania cool blues in my low beams. The inner highs are 9005. I think you mixed up which bulbs you were replacing

One of my Sylvania Silverstars blew in 3 months. Though I have 4 of them in my Protege5 and they are all fine after 1 year. It's a gamble with those bulbs.

9005 is high beam (inner side closer to grill)
9006 is low beam (farther from grill)
and there is a 9006 with a different connector but its straight instead of a 90 degree angle

oh btw if you want bright whites (not blue) and almost hid looking lights check out Streetglows bulbs 9006 lo beams do 80 watts compared to cool blues and silverstars only do 55 watts

i did this mistake too when i tried to replace my halogens (when i had them) i bought 9006s and was trying to put them into the highs cuz i thought they were the lows lol. i had to get inside and turn on the light switch to see which were the highs. i didnt know the headlight lens also says hb4 and hb3 which tell you which is high and which is low.

Bump to the Silverstar warning. I had one blow after like 2 months, but the other has been going strong for over a year. Yeah yeah yeah, always replace in pairs....

9006 low, 9005 high, definitely fit.
