blown lighter!

blown lighter!

hey i got a blown fuse for my cig lighter. i went to the dealership and told them whatsup and they told me to check the fuse box and something about the fuse under my steeringg wheel area. so i check the fuse box under the hood and it seems to be fine... the cig lighter fuse is shared with the radio too correct? if not can someone tell me what else can i do cuz it didnt work.... i want my cg lighter to work

Well why dont you check the fuse box under the steering wheel like they said. It is right behind the foot rest thing

If it's not the fuse then you might check behind the lighter. They usually have some kind connector close to it incase you need to replace it. Maybe it came loose.

yea if its not the fuse pull it out and check the connections mabey sumthin wiggled loose .... sorry to whore but while were on the subject of lighters is anyones light that makes the lighter glow startin to fade??? mine is on one side and its botherin me

ok where under the steering wheel? .... and about pulling out the lighter... how do i do it? and what could be loose? a and where can i get the stuff to fix the loose wire if it is loose?

The fuse block is behind the hood release. If it is a loose wire it will most likely be a connection that came loose, if so push it back together. I think you can see the back of the lighter if you pull out the ash-tray.

FYI,

Ive blown the cig lighter fuse as well. I went through all the interior fuses and found nothing. Turns out it was one of the fuses under the hood. Dont remember which one, but was glad to find it was only a fuse (thought it would turn other stuff off but nothing that I noticed at the time).
