Best way to kill sound

Im going to redo my trunk, mainly because i fried one of my subs the other day.

I want to dynamat the trunk, what should i use? is dynamat the best? i see stuff on ebay, brown bread, deadliner, and dynamat

are any of these better than the other?
how much do i need to do the floor both sides the lid and the back speaker deck?

and damn no one on ebay has the kicker l7's that are not refurbs
they are waiting for the new shiny ones to come out

any tips on how to go about this would be much appreiciated

THANKS

Dynamat extreme-

requires no heating at all, unlike brown bread...

requires only one layer, unlike brown bread which suggests 2 for optimum performance...

Odor free...

Better damping capability and damping range...

Higher effective ranges in the heat and cold.

How much weight are you really gonna save? If you are concerned about 20lbs, you shouldn't have a bumping stereo in your car anyway.

Dynamat Extreme is my pick. Get a good roller.

and you wrong about the acoustic loss factor in heat and cold. there's not much of a difference. it is also easier for brown break to form to shapes because it has to be heated. it will form to dips, curves, and everything else. it is also a cleaner install. once you put dynamat on that's it. with brown bread you can place it perfectly before you heat it so that it is exactly where you want. price is also something you should look at: brown bread is 2.17 per square foot, as where dynamat is 5.42 a square foot. and you can use multiple layers but one layer will be the equvialent of one layer of dynamat. in fact at room temp(86degrees), brown bread dampens better than dynamat extreme.

check out this install in honda tuning

I'll stick with spray insulation lightweight and easy to apply. You can also try cork sheets leightweight and completely kills sound. I'd say who cares about the weight if you got a bad ass stereo you should either have a bad ass engine to go along with it, or not care about speed at all.

Well im not sure if i have a bad ass stereo but its good enough for now. I shall never have a badass engine in the 2.2 without some serious work.

But what i do have are some bad ass rattles, like the back deck and what not.

Im just tryin to make the music sound cleaner, i dont care about weight either

whats this coark board you speak of ???

thanks
