my sister has a 1995 honda accord, and on the dash where it says if a door is open or trunk etc... there is a thing called brake lamp and it stays on now and her rpm when you start it is at 500...what is wrong??

 

500 is a little low but it could be that it needs a tune up. could be a fuel filter or sparkplugs or cap and rotor. if it runs fine thats prolly what it is. also check the timing, if its retarded at all that will cause it to idle low and eat shitloads of gas.

the brake light is prolly on cause she needs new shoes. try to put more fluid in the resuvuar regardless if it says its full. if it is really low like 1/2 inch below the full line have new brakes installed

 

the bulb was on because one of her tail lights burnt out, and the i the 500 rpm was when the engane was hott and it tends to b lower when its hot
