Anyone Installed an EAGLEYE HID Conversion Kit?

Has anyone installed the EAGLEYE HID Conversion KIT?

It looks like it should be "plug and play", but I'm a little confused about their wiring harnesses and how to connect the lights to the power source.

Any tips?

I saw a kit that was just a little box and new bulbs (wasnt a real HID) it said it gave more power to the bulbs somehow and made it look just like the real HID without the price. It was only $60, I dont remember where I saw it though.

I can't really tell how they look at the moment. I'll wait until it get dark. I do see what looks like a green tint to them. I'm sure my beam pattern is way off, because I had a "custom" setting on my fake HIDs (meaning they were illegally aimed)!

The absolutely lowest I've seen new HIDs sell on eBay (in the past 4-5 months) has been $320 or $325.

dpvistaz: I bought my indiglos about a year ago on eBay, I can't remember who manufactures them (I threw out the box). The seller isn't registered any more.

Just go on Ebay and type Indiglo Gauges for Acura CL in the search box. Anyone of the companys that are selling them will work, because the indiglo manufacturers are almost the same for the most part. Just remember when your installing them, "DO NOT REMOVE THE NEEDLES" if you need step by step instrucs with pictures, visit www.geocities.com/gbiw

WOW!

I thought my fake HID bulbs were bright! These are incredible!

I still need to tweak my beam alignment, so I'm sure they'll look even better (and cover the ground better).

These HIDs make my PIAA Extreme White H3s look almost like stock bulbs and the ShowOff Krypton/Xenon 168s (upper and lower corners) look yellow!

To me, the HIDs are worth it (now I need to find other H3s and 168s)!

Hey Rick, the superwhite LED 168s from autodynamic look like HIDs cause they have a purple tint to them. I'd suggest getting them, i just got some for my car (but i do'nt have real HIDs) and they look nice with the yellows i have in the bumper.

BTW you said your HIDs have a green tint to them? Really?? i've never seen that

Thanks for the tip, I'll check them out.

The green tint must have just been because it was day light out (or the bulbs were brand new/never been fired before).

Tonight, I noticed that they have a nice, soft blue tint.

It's really cool how they "power up". There's an initial flicker (sorta like a visual "pop"), then they quickly come up to full power! You can hear the ballasts as they power up. It's like I'm in a freakin' space ship (kinda cool)!

Illegal only refers to the fact that they were not aligned to MD State Inspection Standards.

I had the beams pointed about 10 feet in front of the car, side by side (the beams were just touching each other). This set up, along with my foglights gave me a solid area of light from the front of the car, heading out about 15 feet, and about 3 feet beyond each outside edge of the car (in a "V" shape)!

The pics DON'T do justice to how the HIDs look in person!

Glad you got them working.

Oh the green light is very common in retrofited reflector housings. Most cars will emit some green around the edges. Check out the philips lighting forum to learn all you could possibly want to know about retrofiting HIDs

Thanks for the info!

dajuice27: Keep her inside! It's gonna rain!

MaCe: I'm putting the ShowOff Krypton/Xenon 9006s in my wife's Accord (so that she'll not bug me about the price of the HIDs).
