All with a 3.0 that had their tranny rebuilt.
Im going to get a regional guy to call me from Acura within the next 2 days or so. Im going to question him about the problems that out glass tranny's are having. Then im going to direct him to this site and show him that it really is a problem. So what I need from all you guys:
(Stupidly) Model,
Year,
Symptoms (what was going on before it died),
What happened to the tranny,
How much it cost to fix/rebuild,
How long you didnt have the car,
And if you want to add any other info, feel free to!
I want to show him everything that is happening to these tranny's since he will not want to beleive me...
Thanks in advance guys...

- banging when put from park to reverse. slipping from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to third. very bad banging form first to second and second to third. unusual reving.
-- cost me nothing, acura had to pay up , but it cost them somewhere around $3000 (30 day warantee form the dealer). not to mention the money they had to pay because they screwed up the passenger side and such.
--had the car 2 weeks, had 62K on it.
-- had to fight acura to fix it under the 30 day used car garantee.

What happened to the tranny,

1 month
Fortunatley i had literally just bought the car so the dealership ocvered it all. Im guessing thats why it took so long.

Shifting like it was a stick instead of an automatic, check engine light on, ran through transmission fluid until it was empty after driving for 30 mins. The underside of my car was completely coated in transmission fluid but it only leaked out when the car was bring driven.
My last re-build was about $1800, but it's the 1st re-build and technically my 4th transmission. Since I've had it, it's gotten 2 of the 4.
Had the car since late 2001.
I love the car and as long as my dad's going to keep paying to fix it, I'm going to keep driving it, but not everyone has that luxury and it does get old having the car in the shop all the time. On my last re-build, I had to take it to some transmission shop, so Acura had to send them the parts. It took Acura 2 weeks to send them the parts and they ended up being the wrong parts, hence leaving me with no car for almost a month.

started as harsh shifting, then it'd slip in every gear about 500+rpms....
costed $1700 to rebuild the first time
2nd time I bought a second tranny as back up
costed $2200 to rebuild the third time
4th time it started to slip about 250rpms but only in 2nd gear and not all the time (before engine blew)
5th time converted to 6spd....

Everything was fine, but now the check engine light's BACK on and I have 2 transmission codes: 700, 1768, 1773 so that should be a JOY to have fixed. I'm starting to think a conversion might not be a bad way to go.
