Advice on new pads....

Hey guys,

Im looking to change my brake pads out, and I was wondering whether anyone had any ideas about different brands apart from going oem. Im not looking for performance ceramics, etc just something good and not too expensive.

What do you guys think of: -Hawk HPS Street brake pads HB275F.620
From tire racks theyre like 50 bucks for a pair of fronts...

Any other brands/makes do you guys suggest?

I have a set of ceramics for the front, standard OEM replacements for the rear. The ceramics were $8 more than the OEM replacements. Worth it IMO. I got mine at a small local auto parts store, not sure what brand they are anymore.

HPS are sweet pads. nice initial bite, quiet, not too dusty.

What r u looking for in your brake pads??? just normal braking...then go with the cheapest brake pads byuy Raubestos at Pepboys....... Lots of brake dust though that measn trhe rims get dirty and you need to clean then often

If you are looking for longer life then go with semi metallic....reduced brake dust....

If you looking for longer life and no brake dusting then go with Ceramic brake pads.....

I have Ceramic's on my car and absolutely no brake dust what so ever......

Agreed. I put ceramic pads on mine a few months back, love 'em. no brake dust or noise at all. watch out with semi-metallic pads... they'll give you a lifetime warranty but they're hard on your rotors.

semi-metallics caused my first set of AM rotors to warp. To PBR Ultimate ceramics and they are fantastic
