99 Cl Hid Kit
Hey, Im about to purchase a HID kit for my 99 CL from ebay but not sure if you can get pulled over for having HID that are too blue. The HID kit that Im about to get is 10,000 K and from the looks of their website's pic, it looks really blue. My bro's S2K aren't that blue but more on the white side. My question is has anyone ever got pulled over for having HID that are too blue? I sent the seller a question about this already...just waiting for an answer...

you might as well drive around with a box of instant rice duct taped to your hood.
with anything over 6000K you're not doing yourself any good. Besides the fact that the light output will be terrible (unless you like looking for squirrels in the trees at night) and you'll blind oncomming traffic. Even 6000K bulbs have greatly reduced output compared to 4100K bulbs... anything above 6000K and you're right back where you started most likely... "blue" halogen bulbs.
If you want "blue" lights, stick with halogens... if you want true HID performance go with a projector retrofit using OEM components.
Your "bros" S2K has OEM HID and projectors meant to distribute the light properly and evenly, the way HID should be.

I dont know but for some reason I really like those 12000k, I know the 4300k are bright and all but just that everyone has those white and blue ones. Want to be different what you guys think about them?

12000K would give you purple lights, which means you are asking the cop to pull you over. I would never go that far lol.

seriously.. I would stick with pure white goodness. 4300k for lyfe
edit: besides, if you're worried about being different, its not like EVERY car has HID's nowadays... there are still some that come in halogens you know.. lol.

you wont get pulled over anymore i think.. didnt sema help pass a law that basically says.. if your headlight assembly is DOT safe and your lights do what they're supposed to do (in this case.. light up the road) its legal
