This is probably a dumb question but I was wondering if there is any way to make my 98 CL 3.0 smaller and more like the RSX. I know the CL isn't exactly a large car by any means lol but I would really like it to be a little smaller about the size of the RSX. Can you switch out the parts or something? Somebody's got to know! LoL, thanks!

Ummm......no. The CL will always be the same size........you can make it weight the same as the RSX.

If you wanted a car the size of the RSX....why not buy an RSX?

the rsx is a damn civic, everyone has rsx's and civics. Its the cheapest factory model acura, shall i go on? And i dont know what you are specifically referring to as better then the rsx because CL's have a more defined look to them, the curves and the shape. Speed, well they are faster but she isnt talking about putting a 200 hp engine like the type s she is talking about making a beauty into a beast

hmmm... kinda strange request. i had an '03 RSX loaner today while my CL was getting some stuff fixed, and OH my goodness, i couldn't wait to get my CL back!! i always wanted to try out an RSX just for the hell of it, but as soon as i got in it, it just drove me crazy. from the cheesy racing seats that totally block your rear view, to the crazy ass automatic shifter, to all the cheap looking crap everywhere... ewww!!

i love my CL more than ever right now.

No the CL cannot become smaller. Unless you want to shave the roof and clip the frame, but for that price, you would be better of buying an RSX. Maybe you mean more agile and darty

rsx is just ok. however it doesn't even come close the the cl. if you want a rsx, sell your cl and buy one, then get the hell outta here!

first of all, i thought they were really uncomfortable... at least compared to the CL. and they have a really high back (to make them look more like racing seats or whatever), which made it verrry difficult to see behind me to back up & stuff. it compromises your visibility a lot. just seems like a poor design to me...

also go look at what an RSX comes w/ these days as far as quirks, they are as nice as our 1st gens IMO Nicer seats, 6 disc in dash, etc, etc

Yes you can make you CL smaller - it's been done. Just follow these directions:

1. Drive straight into a brick wall at 30 mph
2. If the engine is still running, put car in reverse and drive into a tree as fast as you can.

V'iola - your CL is now smaller!

Bizarre request . I recently traded off my RSX for an older 99 CL and have not regretted it since. I do a lot of highway driving and wholly cow the RSX is not good for long drives(my back and butt was starting to get sore). Also during winter, the suspension on the RSX became super stiff and whenever I drove over an uneven part of the road, I was literally bounced out of my seat.

The CL's fit and finish is better than my RSX even though it is three years older. I think my RSX was experiencing first year production issues as with any new models but after I driving it a few months, I became bored with it and seeing that there were a lot of RSX's on the road, I decided it was a good time to get rid of it. Resale value is dropping badly on the RSX and checking the RSX boards, Acura might considering dropping it altogether.

Drop, tint, modify your CL to be unique, not an RSX wannabe. Whatever changes you make, I think you'll get more thumbs up or turning heads when you drive your CL, I know I do.
