95 SC300 fast?

This gurl i've been flirting with just got a red 95 SC300....pretty good condiction...ride real smooth...well i took it for a spin yesterday to see if its anything like my 97 3.0CL....MAN that shit is the slowest v6 i've ever driven. It felt like, by the time the SC hit 60 my CL would be long gone at 80+mph. i can't feel no power in the SC300 at all...the 3.0CL actually pull you to my seat. I still like how they look tho...but man i'm soo disapointed on how the car performance.

if u put the sc400 in power mode and take traction off its a whole diff car. i used tho think my friends 97 sc400 was slow for a v8 until i did that. its a bog heavy car though. i would say it runs hig 14s. i dont know about the 95 though. i think it was changed in 96 and again in 97

My mom had one for years and I'd say it's a mid to low-mid 15 second car. I'd stick even w/ it everytime until about 100 when it'd start to usually pull

Depends on the years...the newer ones have 290 HP. 94 ones have 260 HP. The SC400 is alot faster than our cars, I dunno what you guys are smoking. They run mid to low 14s stock. The SC300 is basically a NA 2JZ...Slap a turbo on it and you have Soarer.

The only thing I'm smoking is SC lexus's, and an occasional joint. I didnt mention my car has an H22 type-R. I think the one I raced was an earlier one though.

The SCs came out in 94. 400s don't have stick. 300s are 5 speed.

The stock SC300 is slow as balls.

"that's when i read "SC400" in the back. but after 100 i start pulling up and left him" ---> Doubt that. I have the 3.0...and my rents own an SC400 which I drive all the time. No way a 3.0 can out run it topend.

And pics of the H22 please.

It's similar to a type-s but with more torque and a better trans. Euro Accord H22s are simply the best H22 ever produced.

Put in a serch for Type-R Accord and check them out. There's plenty of sites on this car. These cars are bad ass! There should be some pics of the motors too. Then you can kinda get a picture of whats under my CL's hood.

hahahahaaa, for the price of an accord h22 you could have gotten a damn jdm h22a and put a turbo and that bitch that would blow your type r outta the water.

Who cares, I'm not really into turbo's. All motor H22's run bomb,Type-r or not. I garantee you couldnt build a turbo h22 for the price of my motor. If I had an H22 turbo, I think I would put it in a Civic. That combo will deffinately tear shit up.

They are the same. The type-R H22 comes out of Euro-R Accords. It's a European market Type-R Accord. I dont think there is JDM type-R Accord, although I have heard there is one. They are still all called Euro-R's. Theres also a Honda Euro market car called the Torneo. This car looks kinda like a TL. It also sports the Euro-R H22. One can only wish these rides saw the U.S. market. Sorry about the confusion. You dont have to bust my balls bro, I know what I'm talking about.

Actually they are not the same. The Accord Type- R was first released in Europe with 212hp, the Accord Euro R and the Torneo Euro R (torneo = TSX body not TL)were released later both with 220hp which actually makes more output than the Accord Type R. Get it right. And if you got the 220hp engine I expect that you paid between $4-6,000. So unless you stole it or have a friend of a friend of a friend in germany that shipped it to you for only 2g's. You basically paid $2-4 thousand dollars for 20 hp and like 13 tq.

They are all considerd Euro-R's, iVtec or not. Look it up on any site that has Euro-R cars. The Torneo is not even close to a tsx body nor is it exactly a TL. Thats why I stated that it looks like a TL. Yeah, I paid $4300 for it but considering the differences between a stock H22 and my motor, It's worth it. Believe me there is alot more to type-R H22's than just hp and torque. You really just dont know.

How can you say that the 2 cars are the same.
Euros can come with a 1.6l engine with single exhaust and the Type-r has an h22 with dual exhaust and a $7,000 price difference? The type-r also has lowered and stiffened suspension, bigger disc brakes, lsd, heavy duty clutch, and special gearbox, Momo steering wheel , and Recaro sport seats. By you saying that they are all referred to as euro accords is like saying that an A4 and an S4 are all referred to as audi A4's when the 2 cars are completely different.

Also you said while referring to the h22 type r that
It's similar to a type-s but with more torque
when the type s has 221 Nm @ 6500 rpm and the type r only has 215 Nm @ 6.700 rpm. So its actually not the best h22 because it makes less torq and it has to wait till a higher rpm to achieve it.

And for a difference of 2 g's (between type r and jdm h22)you can build a much stronger stock jdm h22 with better parts (ie. rods pistons whatever you choose) than the slightly reinforced type-r comes from the factory.

I know enough not to spend 4g's on a h22 type-r.

So theres no confusion, the early euro accords do look like a mix of a tl/accord something. The new euro accords look like tsx's

i have no clue about the sc300, but my buddies dad has an sc400 and it's kind of a beast. He never gets on it at low speeds, but he's punched it a few times on the freeway and it gets up.

Thats cause they have turbos on their versions.

Which would technically make it a supra engine.

I know those SC400 are beast. maybe he did slow down. But the SC300 have the 2JZ-GE motor...why is it slow then? 2JZGE is a non-turbo supra isn't it?

ok and about the accord type/euro-R.....the first Accord Type-R had a H22 in it. the new Accord euro-R (TSX) doesnt have a H22 it have a K20 i-VTEC

Oh and even tho they're call euro-R they do have it in Japan.

Well, the SC400 I raced, he sure wasnt slowing down, in fact I was doing about 145mph and he was about two car lengths behind me. This was on the freeway at about 4:15 in the morning with nobody really around. I let up and he was still pedal to the metal. I moved over and he rolled up aside. We stayed side by side for a minute and then he hit it and rolled on. He started on the onramp in front of me, got his shit broke off and that was that. Sorry about jacking up the origional post guys. I just cant help but deffend myself about what I got under my hood.
