98-2002 TSX are honda accord with a K20A i-VTEC

 

hey they're bring the big US version accord to japan and calling it the Inspire.

 

Tsx's didnt come out till 03 and they are Acura's. They are the same body style as an 03 Euro Accord. 98-02 Accords have a different body style. Different even from our U.S. Accords. It's actually a little bit smaller and lighter than the U.S. model. It has the same basic engine compartment as our U.S. 98-02 Accord models but with an H22 stuffed in it.

 

which is the Type-R you're right....98-02 was the one with the one piece headlight and the square looking taillight.

Meh, I say fuck auto-boxes The real problem with both the CL and the SC is that the higher output engines come in auto only. Yea, I'd prefer a V6 over a 4 banger any day, but if the V6 came only in auto......... I'll take the 4.

I smoke alot of v6's. I smoke alot of cars that have more hp than me. I smoke alot of cars that are lighter than mine. I smoke alot of other H22's. I smoke alot of B16 Civics(these guys get pissed). I'll smoke your v6 CL, period. Mabey not the Supra, but for the amount of money they cost, it better smoke me.

 

Already smoked an h22a (in a prelude, which is lighter than our CLs). Regardless, my car is slow too. Beating me doesn't make you fast.

Manual...h22a. Dunno if it was the jdm one or not...But how much difference can it make. Same exact mods as me. And yes he can drive, not that it mattered since we took it up to 120.

 

it makes a huge difference. my 2.3 manual with e/i/h spanks auto h22 ludes all day long. Even from a 2nd gear roll! The auto ruins the ludes. Your 3.0 could hang with a manual lude from a roll, but from a stop if he knew how to drive you'd have seen tailights.

but a 5 speed h22 beats me by a mile. I'm usually close to them untill 50 if i have a good launch, but then by 100 they are at least 3-4 cars ahead. Thats why I want one!

ludes aren't too slow. You can get them in the 13's n/a pretty easily. Thats not slow to me.

was the lude you beat from a roll stock? What mph did you race from?

All my friends have sub 14 second cars...So I guess I'm biased as to what is "fast." 13s is decent...Not super fast, but not slow...atleast to me.

I raced him from a roll...Was a while ago, but I think it was from 60 cause we were all on the highway driving back from the BBQ meet with the legends.

I have it on video thanx to keith (fastvteccl)...walked him till 120 where I was up 2 to 3 cars. Same exact mods as me at that time.

yeah i think the jdm draw more air and fuel then the US version.

My friend 2001 5-speed prelude will lose to me at launch and around 3rd he start pulling up and at top he just stay in front with the same distance. and at rolling i'll hang with him the whole time.

f20b are from 97-00 accord sir and f20c are from s2K

 

if you think your car has vtec like that, you've NEVER been in a h22a. on cls you can't feel the vtec for shit. and were not talking about the h22a4, i'm talking about the h22a.

 

Thats cause it actually has torque without hitting vtec range.

I'm sick dumbasses who think vtec is their secret weapon.

 

All I know is Vtec engages the loudest on H22's. I've heard B series that are loud, but nothing compares to a high compression H motor with a good header and exhaust.

 

I like loud Not the crappy loud that american muscle cars make. I love that high pitched scream as the VTEC kicks in, soooo damn sexy. I hear it very often from my buddy's prelude, and I can't get enough of it.
