just an idea,im thinking about placing a shark fin antenna(looks only) on top of my 1st gen...has this been tried before and what do you guys think?

thats ridiculous. From what I remember, most BMW owners HATE the shark fin. Cause most the guys with the fin have the stereotype of being tools. I remember reading some threads about how most hated that fin. but hey whatever floats your boat:

Our cars are one of the ONLY cars that don't have an antena especially hondas. That's why they put the antena in the windshiled so we have a sleak smooth look, antenas are pointless

i think it would look good, but I think an Dolphin Fin would look better.

 

my new one has a window antenna too, and yes it looks MUCH better than any fin or metal stick on the body

 

minus whale add on an interfooler, z3 vents, and a BOV sound maker

 

I've seen the newer styled BMW fins on ebay and i dont think they look that bad..

 

 

No way dude. Keep it clean. I wouldn't put anything extra on my car that dosn't serve a purpose.
