A quick newbi question if someone could clear it up for me. I see people recommending to us 01 owners to swap for 03 tails. What’s the diff?

and while we’re on the subject of lights what’s with swapping out the head lights too. Guess I’m to new to the CL to notice a difference yet.

they have a clead stripe instead of them just being all red. . . i think.

 

I also think you should be in the General forums since you have an 01.

 

yeah 03 has the clear strip on top, 01 and 02 are all red with a little white square for the reverse.

I've got an 01...and I have no idea why people would pay $300+ for the swap.

 

yes.. i think this needs to be moived to CAR TALK....

the 00-02 are solid red... 03 are euro style with the clear turn signal strip at top and red at bottom (like TLs and Civics)

03 tail is clear and red. the head is black housing.

 

Dont forget about the 97-99 original 1st gen CL.

 

2001 is a 2nd gen

 

personally i like the 01 tails better, i like the all red look

 

Haha, same here, the 01 tails look a lot better to me too.
