Hey Y'all--
I researched the ADX for a few weeks before purchasing this week. I have been looking for a car the last 3-4 months and have done lots of research on the CX-50s, CR-Vs , 2026 Passport, Pilot, RDX, MDX, Terrain, and honestly the list could go on. I did find that on the ADX and Passport in particular were lots and lots of complaints about CarPlay. I decided to purchase it anyway cause it wasnt a deal breaker for me personally, I can always just listen to the radio and use my phone for naviagtion if push came to shove. I have been digging deep into these carplay issues across the board and there was a reoccuring theme across Honda, Accura, Madza, GMC etc where Google and CarPlay were an issue. Long story short it I found several articles stating the need to update the phones iOS system. I have a 16 so still didnt think much of if but stumbled upon some info on the iOS 26 update and there are CarPlay fixes in that update. I have not extensively tested it yet, but so far after updating to iOS 26 I have not had an issue. Anyone else seen this "fix" work?

 

I’ve had my ADX since the end of May and I used CarPlay quite a bit to learn how it operated. I really didn’t have any problems with CarPlay except one time it froze up and I had to turn off CarPlay on the phone and then restart it. I have upgraded to iOS 26 on my iPhone 16, and when using CarPlay I plug in my iPhone via use to play lossless music from Apple Music.
For the last couple of months I have been using Google built-in to learn about how it operates and for music, I’ve been using the usb to play flash drives of my cd’s that I uploaded.
