Copied from last years thread to kick this off. We need a date. Last year it was in June but I think we should do it earlier. Early May? Late April?

Alright AZ members its spring and we need to roll out to Skyline again!! I need a show of hands who wants to help this year . Thank you to everyone that help put this together last year. We need to pick a date, Leg captains and what we want to do as far as food. (BarB Q, fast food etc.) I want your input.

Here are the rally points that we've used in the past. To simplify things I'm going to suggest we forget about and do away with the Leg 3 location. We've only had a few people ever use that one and it's only a few miles away from the Leg 4 location anyway.

There is also a final rally point in Front Royal just before we turn onto Skyline to gather any stragglers or if anyone wants to just meet there. More details on that to come shortly.

We'll need leg captains for these. Volunteers welcome.

Why dont we have a smaller meet a few weeks before for preparation like April 4 at final rally point leg 4.
Lets get all leg captains together and lets get all the confusion out of the way.

So April 4th is a possible date? Ack, I'm busy with parties that day. Any other day would be fine. Btw, mind if I throw in a G35x into the mix? :-P I'm also bringing my Canon Rebel for some High-Res shots. Should be awesome.

Yes we could do a meet before the actual meet to plan for setup. I remember on the previous meets we had the camera crews and it was very well organized.

I've got a few who want to do it on May 31st. Also ANYONE is welcome to this meet so long as your aren't a prick and start doing crazy burnouts and stuff.

The reason I suggest a pre-meet is because we come across the issue of to many chiefs and not that many Indians. joke lol
We want this to be safe and fun. We could work set-up, food, stops, route, etc

Agreed. Now we just need people with enough interest. I have got a few from several forums. Seems like the dates in May are pretty open. Alot of activity and events are going on aside from those.

Here are the usual meet points we have before rolling out to skyline. Each meet spot's purpose is to gather cars, caravan out to the final ralley point, then head out to skyline. We have done this for many years and have proven successful each time. If you don't feel like caravaning just meet at the final point.

Turn around and come back? jk.

We usually cruise up to the interchange with 29 (?) and exit there. It's really twisty from there back down to the bottom of the valley. Lotta fun. Watch that you don't overheat the brakes though.
