Wheel noise ?brake

2006 MDX low miles. Had screeching noise from engine area turned out to be power steering pump. Replaced pump and pulley and that noise gone. However, now have a screeching noise one an off coming from drivers front wheel when applies brake mostly when turning rather than going straight. Actually similar to the that power steering pump noise. Mechanic carefully examined the brakes and found nothing wrong. Any ideas? Brakes seem to work just fine and don't think it is the wheel shield.

Any unusual grooves on either side of the rotor? Sometimes debris can get between the pad/rotor. Did the tech say the pads are wearing evenly on both sides? Might have to try a different pad material or turn the rotor and re-bed the original pads again.

someone will have to narrow down the noise even further.... it could be tons of things that are creating a noise.

a brake pad that has no meat left and is down the wear indicator WILL make a screeching noise, however, you mentioned the mechanic called it good.

so, someone will have to dig deeper and find the noise.

one can check the wheel bearing, by lifting the car and rotating the wheel in question. see if it drags. see if it makes the noise.
