Throttle Body

Hi all
I decided to clean my Throttle Body. I saw videos on how to clean it look very simple. Removing and installing easy. But when I turn on the car all hell went wrong with the car. Engine (P0507) and VTM lights on, RPMs high. when I turn on the car the RPM are going up and down. Has this happen to anyone? Took the car to Acura and was told the car needs a new Throttle Body Total Cost $998.00
Before taking the car in any subjection.

Thank you

I would un plug the battery then remove the throttle body again and put it back and wait a while and reconnect the battery. if that doesn't work then

You more than likely disconnected and forgot to reconnect a vacuum line to the throttle body. If not that, then there is a leak after the throttle body, did you make sure the gaskets lined up properly and everything was torqued properly?

Yeah id def chk to be sure you plugged back in all the connectors and vacuum hoses. Sometimes they can be missed. I would also def not even consider 1k for a TB...

Let us know what ends up happening

here is a used one i found for ya from car-part.com if u end up needing one...

while we are on the topic, i have seen a wider (?) throttle body available for the MDX (2003). If i did buy it and had it installed, would the difference be significant? what are the consequences of getting a wider one?

thanks in advance.
