I can use the key to roll up & down the windows in my TL, but I can't seem to roll up in my newer MDX ... what gives ? %#$*

 

^ they roll up in the TL? are you sure?.. I think you need an aftermarket device to do that.

 

I think he is refering to window roll up and down with the twist of the key in the door keyhole. Not with the remote where its down only.

 

well that sucks.. except I've never needed to do either.. lol.

 

I can use my remote to roll up (locking twice & hold) or down (unlock twice & hold) on my 07 TL but can't do it on the 09 MDX. Key in hole will do for both cars, both ways ... just a lil rant on a lousy Sunday when 49ers marched down the field & missed a FG ... gonna be a long day ...

 

Mdx doesn't have auto roll up windows in the rear, so that means there is no pinch protection. I'm guessing the reason you can't do it with the key is because of this and to prevent potential law suits. I still don't get why they couldn't make the rear windows auto up and down as well though.

Ronald Regan was president the last time I used a key to lock or unlock a car door.

 

I had this feature on my Lexus and never used it. Not even once.

 

As far as I know no Acura can roll the windows up with the remote as it sits in oem trim. They can only be closed (from outside the car) with the key in the door lock.

If your 07 TL does it it may have been modified.

 

The first thing I am going to do this morning is try the key and see if I can roll up the windows. It worked on my sons Lex but I am not out and about as he was...
