2011 MDX Tech/Ent, Is the "Costco" price better that what I can get?
Considering purchase of 2011 MDX Tech/Entertainment. I've been quoted 45.8 so far.
I've heard from friends that I should purchase a service from Costco (as I am a member) where they would negotiate a better than what I can based on their volume.
Is this true? How much better of a deal do you think I can get going through them?
Was wondering if anyoine has experience dealing with Costco for an MDX purchase.
Please let me know. Thanks.

$45,751 via Consumer Reports buying service.
$45,751 via AAA buying service.
It only costs $50.00 to join Costco and there are plenty of benefits to membership ... bulk purchase of consumables, great meat/seafood department, etc.
Why don't you do it and at least have "peace of mind" that you did the best possible. You aren't committed to any deal, you can always say "no thanks".
Do remember that more money is made in the finance office than anywhere else. That's where you need to have your thinking in order.

Unless I am mistaken, there is no fee for the Costco service. You can always call and ask ... 800-755-2519. Have your membership card ready, they will want the number from it.
$45,351 is invoice, including destination charge. You should be able to get very close to that price. Many dealers won't waiver on their "documentation fee" in today's marketplace due to internet pricing. If that is already included in your quoted price, it doesn't sound at all like a bad deal.
Remember that the ONLY bad deal is the one you aren't happy with.

Doc fees...upwards of $400. Another member used the Costco service initial price quotes was 45600 or 45700. His thread is on here somewhere. He got the price down a bit more. Try to get as close to invoice as possible. I agree with the price you pay is the one you need to be happy with and willing to to pay. Good luck.

I have seen doc fees ranging from $299 to $799, it depends on the dealership ... and usually the quality of the showroom, professionalism/education of the staff, depth of inventory, etc. Dealerships have to pay the bills one way or another.
IMO, your offer is very good if it is all-inclusive, except for taxes, registration, title, tag, etc. Otherwise, you MIGHT be able to shave off a few hundred. However, the important part is the confidence you have in the dealership, their location to yours (convenience) and whether you intend to continue to do business there. IMO, you won't be doing yourself any favors by working them over to save a few hundred on a vehicle costing roughly $50K out the door.
Like them, like the SUV?? Make the deal and drive off knowing you DID get a solid price ... your number is much better than most, that much is for sure.
