2007 shifter bulb replacement

Bulb that lights up the shift indicator on the console has burned out. I found how to replace this for 1st gen MDX but the 2007 has a different setup.

Seems like the console plood piece goes under the front vertical plood pieces (one on the right that goes up from the console and over the top of the glove box and the one on the left that goes up from the console and over to the steering column). I can get the bottom part of those vertical pieces pulled out a little bit to allow removal of the console piece but the actual console piece does not seem to budge when I wedge a tool under it (and do not want to crack it in the process as it is pretty thin in spots).

The rear of the center console plood also goes under the arm rests unit, so not sure if that whole thing needs to be removed.

Seems like a ridiculous amount of work to replace a bulb!

If someone has instructions on how to replace the bulb and/or console plood, I will take pics and post a 'how to'.

Thanks.

Bringing this one back to "light". Haha. Anyone done this that can give advice? Just got my first MDX - a 2007 and this shifter light bulb is out on mine. Thanks!
