2007 MDX Headlight Retrofit
Hey all!
First post here on Acurazine but i've lurked for a long time and learned a lot from you all.
Got a good deal from lightwerkz for Labor Day Sale but barely got around to installing their kit.
Decided to go 50w Morimoto D2S 5.0 5000K Quad-Xenon setup with Profile Switchback Halos on the wife's MDX.
It isn't perfect but hope you all enjoy. Did it to improve visibility for wife as she wasn't comfortable driving at night and she's in love now.

very nice! How hard was it to take apart the light? how did you get the projector mounted in the high beam so cleanly?

Thank you! It wasn't hard at all to be honest. I've come to the conclusion that the best way to cook the headlight is 20 minutes @ 200*F for minimal effort/damage. The projectors were a snug fit in the high beam section so it was a bit challenging. I had to trim the ears off the high projectors a bit in order for them to go in and be able to turn the projector to align the cutoffs.

JB Weld/Steelstik is the answer when mounting the projectors. It will make it stay in place when you're aligning it and then use JB Weld/Epoxy to permanently glue it.

Looks nice, though I am wondering what benefit you got by upgrading high beams? in my 2011 I find the low beam to be lacking severely, the high beams are actually pretty good with good brightness and spread.

In this case, the needed benefit was having all 4 projectors on simultaneously while low beam is on and the cut-off shield doing it's work. So the road is 2x brighter on low, and if high beams are ever needed they're 2x as bright as well.

Wait what? You have all 4 running on low beam? Oh is that because these are Bi-Xenon Setups? I am intrigued

Correct! All 4 projectors are on with low beam. The solenoids are wired to the high beam pigtails so when I toggle the high beam stalk, all 4 projectors activate the high beam.

That's smart thinking, what about additional electrical draw? Any downside of that? Did you add any additional relays?

This setup does have relay harnesses. It has two harnesses with dual relays so each projector technically has its own relay. Wired directly to the battery with in-line fuses. One harness draws from the Left-hand oem pigtail and the other from right-hand oem pigtail. Couldn't be happier with the setup

This truly is an outstanding job done, I would LOVE to learn and find out how this wiring is done so that I can motivate myself into doing the same project, the low beam on my 2013 MDX is NOT! sufficient at all although replacing to the Osram bulbs.
