06 MDX w/161k miles issues
Oil pump seal is leaking
Passenger side Axle boot leaking
Never resolve the hard clunk for the transmission (maybe Tq converter) It only does it from P or N to D or R only (delay for the gear to engage). I think I will check the Natural Safety switch.
Misfiring in cylinder 4 (from code reader). Change out all sparkplugs from Denso Iridium to NGK Iridium. What cause the misfiring was a wet sparkplug (oil). I notice the coolant tank was empty. I open the radiator cap and did not see any coolant. I topped off the coolant and notice a little oil in the radiator and add coolant to the tank as well. I checked the oil dipstick. It was good for now no sign of milky or coolant smell. My brain is telling me a head gasket is on it's way out. When I drove it. You can smell the sweetness of the coolant from the exhaust but it's not smoking.
My parents are thinking to replace the head gasket and fix the oil pump seal. I told them if your going this far. Just have the T-belt and water pump done since your already in there. My parents are taking it to my friend shop. I never heard a head gasket on a Honda/Acura go bad at 161k miles (original miles).

Update.
I was thinking maybe stuck valve or piston ring on cylinder 4. So I added EGR system cleaner. Let it set for 24hrs and ran it. Till all the white smoke disappear. My nephew (BMW/Honda ASE) is going to pick up the MDX this weekend to flush out the fluids and inspect. I be busy working on my SUV for an upcoming road trip at my friend shop.
