When the hell did alignments get so expensive? Last lifetime I bought was $150. Guess that was a while ago .

As for being responsible with your money, there's nothing wrong with that. For me, it ebbs and flows. I'll be responsible for a while (pay down debt, invest, etc.), then spend for a while (car parts, toys, etc.). You've got to balance it; all of either one leaves you broke or bored.

How much are they going for now? I paid the same amount for my lifetime alignment back in 2010.

Remember these alignments are priced to the consumer...

When you change from just Toe alignments to camber, caster, and toe with specific set ups it changes quite a bit.

It was a lengthy process that took a lot of effort but it's all done and I love it. Used duplicolor taffeta white.

Have you done anything else to the CL?

I too have gotten bored and tired of modding, it seems my hobbies rotate, this time last year i was building (and finished) a custom .300 blackout AR pistol. i could care 2 shits about my car at that time, just wasted interested and contemplated being done with it. But things always change and soon enough, back to the drawing board

Yeah I guess you could say we all cycle through times of being bored with the car and not really doing much to it.

Ben that looks awesome. Nice work. Let's try and park next to each other or atleast in the same area.

Everybody here is talking about $200 . Haven't had to get one for the Charger yet, but will eventually. It's still a good deal, but I prefer $150 (or the $120 I paid two cars ago when they were running a sale on it).

Jason - you can buy Troegs here. Good Bottle and some other place (forget the name). Had some last night, Hop Knife...it was good. Had a NoDa pale ale in a can, too...was surprised at that.

Eric - yea I went and bought an 2014 is250 f sport in ultra white with the red interior. Actually it was DVD players, but with blu ray being the same price as DVD player back in the day I need to keep up with the times. Freaking parts for this car are 10x more expensive than the tl. Window visor are 500$ I guess that what I get for buying a new car.

Yup the tl won't make it my air struts aren't in yet so will be taking the lexus to the show.

And I also go through these cycle of car part to gun to watches lol I'm a fan of nice watches. I also have to put my wife wants in front since I buy a lot of expensive stuff and she make more than me.

I member ailments use to be like 60-70$ at stealer ships but I guess for lowered car they put them import tax lol.

I've been thinking about getting rid of my car to get something RWD.

I have an itch to slide.

... then again I realize I enjoy the Luxury and the reliability. Then I go look in the black market, find things I cant afford, then go lay in my bed until the world stops being cruel.

....I'm still in bed.

Hope all is well with you guys. Eric I was really sad to hear about your friend.

X2 for Tire Rack. I've heard good things about Discount Tire as well, but I've always gotten my tires within two days of ordering from Tire Rack.

Lexus SC3/400. Luxury and tuneability. The 400 is auto only from the factory, but you can get adapters to run a V160 from a Supra or even a 350Z transmission. The 1UZ is a damn good motor too; six bolt mains, DOHC, can rev to the moon, insanely reliable, sounds amazing, and its light.

And of course the 300 has the 2J.

Nice. I have seen it on draft a few places but I have not been anywhere that had it in bottles and cans. Good to hear it is showing up more. I found out it was coming soon back in July but it is taking longer than I thought to get into a lot of places.

I have lots of big things I want to do with both the TSX and the IS-F but now that I have the house I can't bring myself to pull the trigger on them. I am thinking of maybe making one more big change for the TSX before Spring IA maybe to try and get myself back into it.

I find myself struggling to even care about washing the car lately which I hate cause I know that brake dust is eating at my wheels on the F.

I just got back from Firestone and I bought the lifetime alignment for $159.99 and they took off $20 Cuz the dumbass tech didn't adjust the rear camber because he thought you couldn't adjust it when I told him I have adjustable rear camber arms.

good deal vtec, i do my own camber adjustments to avoid dumbass problems, a lot of those guys unless they are familiar with "our cars" they dont understand why you would want or need camber out of spec, i told the sales guy at firestone twice when i dropped my car off to leave the camber alone, just fix toe and other steering alignments, 10 mins later after talking with the techs he came back looking hopeless saying i dont think we can get your camber back to normal range without issues hitting your tire, im like no fucking shit. every once in a while you'll get a younger guy who is familiar with stanced cars and has your car done in no time.

I like going to my local shop. I go in, tell them the specs to set it to, and 30 minutes later they're done. I don't get lifetime alignments like Firestone has, but I know the owner and the techs so my cars are in good hands. Its the same place I get my tires mounted and balanced.

Buuuut, that's in Richmond...

The duralast battery in the lexus died today. I was in a rush to get the wife to her massage appointment at 6 so I took the duralast gold out of the TL and put it in the is300. I decided to finally buy a battery charger so I looked some up and decided to get the battery tender plus. Went to sears and discovered it was on sale for $25 off which put it at $39.99. When I went to check out it rang up as $64.99, so I told him that it was supposed to be on sale. He walked to go see for himself and came back and somehow entered $34.94 so I was even happier lol. So now ive got it hooked up to an optima red top that has been sitting in the garage for a while. We'll see what happens with it.

Most charges will not charge the battery if it is below 10 or 10.5 volts. You can still recharge the Optima battery though you just need a second battery to trick the charger. I did it two weekends ago to my yellowtop and all is good now with it.

So I don't need to bring a new battery with me? Sweet! I'll be there Friday night to pick up the TSX.

Just went and checked on the optima and it's still charging. One of the guys that did a tutorial on the battery tender said it took a day and a half to bring his yellow top to fully charged. And then he said it eventually died completely about a month after he charged it.

I'm gonna try and charge the old braille battery too. That damn red top weighs a ton and I would rather run the 21lb braille.

No battery needed. Been trying to figure out how to get three cars to the show and back cause I will probably need to go home and let the dogs out during the day most likely.

It is possible it is dead and can't be fixed. However I did the two battery charge and mine has stayed at 12.5 or higher since then for the past week.
