Quanaman's NBP Type-S Progress Thread: Updated 12/24/14

Well guys, sorry for the delay!
First thing, I changed the oil to mobile 1 with a mobile 1 filter and I picked up some MTF from th Honda dealer. Maintenance over mods!
Then, thankfully I got a couple of parts in the mail for it before the Christmas break. Over the weekend I was able to install my CT Engineering short shifter and my USA-SPEC PA11-Hon2y.
The install was really straightforward. For those of you that have installed ether of these items in the TL, it's basically the same process. I've taken apart the TL center console so many times, the TSX was a piece of cake. Had it all installed in about an hour and a half.
I'm not planning on doing a whole lot of mods on the TSX (famous last words...) just a couple upgrades to make it more comfortable. I wouldn't even call any of these mods, haha
LED Interior (came that way)
Tint (it came tinted)
CT engineering shifter (done)
iPod input (done)
OEM window visors (ordered)
Solid aluminum shifter bushings (shipped)
Oem style fog light kit (shipped from k2)
That's about it for now. I am itching for a set of coils and an RSB, but probably won't be doing any suspension mods for a while... Unless I come across a deal I can't pass up. Trying to keep this thing as a cheap daily driver
I know a lot of people must be like, how did this fool go from an 08 6MT TL-S to an 05 TSX?! Haha. I do miss my TL (just about every day) and wanted to get back into something similar. What I didn't miss was the gas mileage and not being able to comfortably DD it.
So far the TSX seems like a happy medium where I get some of that "fun to drive" with good gas mileage and Honda/Acura reliability for under half the cost of my TL.
I thought about going with another TL, but didn't want an automatic and the 6MT are too hard to find well maintained and for a reasonable price. I wasn't willing to pay $10k+ for 10 year old TL's with 150k+ Miles.
In any event, the TSX is a peppy little thing and the short shifter has made it a lot more fun to drive. Maybe a few bolt ons will help with the lack of power compared to the TL (yeah right )

"When we last saw this TL, it was in pieces-all over the ground."
