Audi: A4, S4, RS4 News
Hmmm, it's not the looker I thought it would be. The lights are a little wierd, but the grill will grow on me. Thank goodness for the new V6. Not a moment to soon with competetion from the 270hp TL and newly revised 277 hp G35.

That's right. I mean Audi does it every time. They always come out with pioneering (or close to it) technologies in their engines and the bottom line, that is, HP/torque, etc., is barely competitive. That's what happened with the 5 vavle tech they applied to so many engines for about a decade now. Now FSI comes out and we see 255 HP from 3.2 liters. I mean come one. Who cares about the 10% less gas consumption. At least no one cares here in the US. If it was 30% less gas, then yes, do it. I can see the sacrifice in HP for such gas gains. Only turbocharging has shown promise with them in the HP department. And to think that Quattro "steals" power naturally. So when you say, I got 255HP and AWD, it's like saying, I got 240 HP and 2WD. So even more in the hole.
On the other hand, BMW has not been competitive (excluding M cars) in that respect for a couple of years now.
The 225 hp 330 takes the 260 hp CL though, so numbers aren't all ending. I think BMW has been competitive power wise, but not in a power to price ratio. Their 4.5L V8 is better than the Benz 5.0 V8, I think. In an ideal world, BMW would lower the price on the 3 series and raise it on the 7 while dropping the 5 just a tiny bit. Of course, since they make most of their money off the 3 & 5 series cars, they know they can charge up the ass for those models.
And I don't think the M3 is competitive with the Z06 in terms of sports car vs. price. The M is more practical though, with 4 seats and better gas mileage.

Any pics?
Or will it be delayed a year? I'd like to see what type of aero kit would be available for it

Usually the S4 of a new generation takes at least a year if not two. So I am guessing that the current S4 will be offered till then.
I knew i could count on gav to show pics that i havent seen yet!! Interior looks to stay almost the same. Steering wheel is ugly. Wonder if that interior is for the S4.. those seats look NICE!
First, I can't see the A4 having curved headlights like the Nuvolari Coupe when Audi did not give them to the A6
Second, I can't see Audi not changing the interior to the point where they have to squeez the nav, making the screen overly small, into the existing console, which means no interior update on a new car other than screen.
