thanks for the pics gavriil -- they sure do look similar. not to start something negative here but i'd say the RS4 is to audi what the type-s is to acura; a performance variant which happens to cost almost three times as much as the underpowered A43.0/1.8 (remind you our type-s only cost a couple grand more ). but i believe audi's approach is a bit different...they bring in the S4 and slot it somewhere in between the two and classify it as a rival to the M3 and C32. but that's besides the point...which is...hrm...i had one...i think...oh what the hell...i wonder if they'll ever bring the RS4 overseas just to give us a taste of what those EUs have been hogging.

one more thing... i saw a new red S4 the other day cruising down university in berkeley... man was it beautiful, almost as nice as the facelifted A4 that's coming out soon.

Wait so now all the regular A4's are going to look like the S4? I would be pissed if i had an S4. Not much of a facelift in my opinion, really does not look that different

I thought that was the over-seas big-brother of the RS4...maybe I'm talking out my rear...

It was exclusive to the European market (same with the RS4), but not any more. The RS4 is not sold here. Yet.

Actually, I would say that the Type S line from Acura is parallel to the S line from Audi. And Acura's Type R goes with Audi's RS. That's a better comparison.

an adult perspective
and conspicuous by it's absense is any reference to a 'coupe' version of the A4. Looks like Audi has no intention of bringing back a two-door hardtop to its lineup - following in Saab's footsteps.

okay, i dont think its correct to call it a face-lifted A4...
its just a REGULAR A4 with a skirt package, it is included in the sports package called Ultra Sport.
its been out for a few weeks now.
again, its just part of a new sports package offered.
Like the difference between the E500 and a E500 with AMG package

hail to the victors
i hope they keep the splitter thing in the middle. because without it it would be fugly!! also, without the euro-license plate it would be very weird.
