P90X3 is coming out, say the workouts are 30 minutes now.

So in reality if the formula is the same it's a 45 minute workout because of the ab workouts MWF.

That's one of my biggest complaints with P90x workout is fine at 55-60minites. But tack on abs and it's 75 minutes. Too long for me, but i still make time for it.
And the the yoga one at 93 minutes is way too long.

But whatever it's helped me lose weight.

^ I am a bit skeptical about the whole 30 minute a day = 60 minute of P90X (OG one). We'll see

I am currently on Phase 2 of the program again; prior to this, I did Rushfit. I am looking forward to the result at the end of 90 days. At the end of the day, the classic P90X delivers

Probably.

My guess with p90x3 and it's 30 min workouts is that the food intake is low.

That's how it seemed like with Shaun T's, Focus T25

so i was going to do a 1st gen P90X workout today, but i decided, what the heck and to try out a P90X3 workout.

i tried the CVX one. HORY SHET! so the workout itself was 30 minutes long with a 4 or so minute cool down. Its all cardio/plyo stuff but you carry either no weights or a 5lb to 12lb weight. i started off with 5lbs.

at the end of that i had burned 523 calories according to my HR monitor.

also it was funny, i was giving it my 100% the entire time, but by the time i really felt my tank was empty and started dropping the weight on the floor, i had only 3 minutes left of the workout. so i was like "suck it up! only 3 minutes to go!"

i think ill really give this a shot

Mizouse, how are you making out with P90X3? I started P90X but after 4 weeks I was too tired to go on, more so cause the only time I had to do it was at night after my 2 year old falls asleep, it was that or sleep and sleep won out. I DL'd both but haven't started X3 yet, planning on it soon.

I did it for one week. It was tough but I preferred the actual weight lifting part of OG P90x so I went back.

Plus the 30 minute yoga felt too short. I actually like the x2 yoga which is an hour.

I agree with this as well. X3 is great for those with little time. I prefer X1 with the little longer routine and weights.

I started P90x1 up again, and the wife P90x3. I kept my previous P90 workout sheets and was in awe at how fit i was compared to i was now just starting back up even though i considered my self fairly fit. In the first 90 days i managed to get back to the numbers/reps i was at when i was at my fittest doing P90 a few years back, and was able to just about hit my goal of to lose 30lbs . The program is very effective if you make the time for yourself to do it. I still highly recommend these programs. P90x3 while i feel its effective(its what the wife does as she claims she doesnt have a hour for working out), i still prefer the original P90x1 program.

Going to see how well i can do the 2nd 90 day routine while living out of a hotel for the summer for work.

I lost a lot of weight and Body fat with these videos.

The issue I have is they get stale after some time.
Long term I don't think I could do it over and over and over.

One of the main reasons I took up lifting/powerlifting instead of starting back up P90X.

I took it back up for 2 main reasons
A). i know it works, and i did it for 2 years straight before and found ways of mixing it up to keep it more enjoyable.
B). with me traveling a lot i know its something i can complete in the hotel room, something i cant do with a gym membership or anything else.

ohh I know it works, especially with the right diet.
I too did it for 2 years from 2012-2014. Lost close to 60lbs with it.
I still have a shirt I bought when I was at my lowest, still can't fit it yet
i wish at that time I measured my Body Fat %. I bet I was in the high teens cause I'm hovering around 21-22%
