To be honest I don't think I would have gone as far with the car if it weren't for some of the hating ass morons on that page. But yeah those same people kept quiet once they started seeing results. This Sunday I may break into another 13 second pass (possibly 13.8) because it's going to be almost in the 50s.

Cheap if I did it myself but an exhaust shop would charge me 350 if they supplied it AND welded it in

I don't mean to be an a$$, but since when is breaking the 14 second barrier considered impressive? For a terribly slow car, sure.

For cars in general? Get outta here. A few more thousand dollars and you might make it to 13.6 seconds!

he's just enthusiastic about what his car is doing relative to the platform and he's put in a ton of work.

it's not a route for me but i give him props for being motivated, having a goal, and documenting on the forum (even though he does have like 15 threads haha).

13.6 @ 104-105 is very possible if I remove a bit more weight and run on slicks. I'm still on stock width street tires.

Well actually the trap would be lower on slicks. I'm guessing 13.6 @ 100mph

Hey man, I merged the threads. I don't think we'd need a new thread every time you make a pass or break another tenth, no matter how impressive.
Great job though! That is a very impressive number in a TL. Makes me wonder what my blue TL would have done on good tires and with someone that knows how to drive and could get a decent 60' in a FWD manual.

I tried to change the thread title to reflect the new time, but I'm not certain how to do that. I believe you can only merge the newer thread onto the older one too, or I would have done that.

Cheers!

I hope you get back on your feet honestly. But despite some sound advice from people here you kept pouring money into this car. You even threw out the parts you gutted instead of selling them. You need a life style change and need to prioritise things.
I have a lot of respect for anyone with a passion for cars which you have. But if you can't afford a windshield, you should not be modding anything. You should sell the TL, grab a beater civic and get out of debt by working your ass off, not by asking for handouts. Best of luck to you.

okay, so I wasn't the only one that said WTF with the gofundme.
I know I'm getting old but there's a huge gap between the younger generation's frame of mind, methinks.
Although just looked and OP is not much younger than me!
