I pulled a 13.94 @ 103.03mph in my Base Auto!

I'm 100% sure this car will do 13.7 minimum on a winter day. It pulls almost twice as hard. I'm confident I can keep up with and possibly beat g37's. 4th and 5th don't feel like dogs anymore.

The 2010+ Gs have a 7 speed auto and 4th gear is geared to 126mph. 5th is 178mph.
This is why i said in a street race the G37 7AT will have the advantage over you up til 125 mph. Once I hit 5th gear acceleration is slow but still pulls compared to your 4th gear.

FWIW, I walked a G37 Coupe pretty easily from 60-100 or 110. Not sure on G's mods or number of passengers. Sedans seem to be a bit quicker from what I've read. There have been bone stock 7AT sedans that have run 13.5 @ 105, so you never really know.
And yeah, if your exhaust is causing neck strain from spectators, then it's not really a sleeper. You should really just do a 6spd swap.

1/4 or on the streets?
G37 usually runs 13.8-14.1 and traps 98-102mph stock.
The G37x is awd and weighs 200lbs (3800lbs curb total) more than a RWD G37 so the G37x might actually be slightly slower.
I think at the drag strip you'll win.
In the streets from a 30, 60 or 80 roll the G37 will win to 125mph.
Your TL falls on its face after 110mph thanks to 4th gear. My G37 continues to pull past 110mph easily compared to my previous 5AT TL.
At the end of the day you have a completely gutted, bare-bones, uncomfortable, noisy "dedicated" drag car with full bolt-ons and lightweight wheels that runs about the same times as a completely stock G37. Who's the real winner here?

His choice is what he chooses to do. And if it's causing no harm it shouldn't bother you.
Also comparing this to that is retarded. Like my car would walk all over you. And then a GTR would walk all over me. And on and on and on. So why bother?

Just an update but my supervisor claims to have bought the 2013 G37X Coupe convertible which is a good bit heavier than the regular coupe and heavier than the sedan even more so. I'll enjoy walking his ass if he really did get it.

Give the man some credit he has a 10 year old base model TL auto that can keep up with today's sports sedans

Speaking of new sport sedans, I had a driver in a new A4 with temporary tags try to get feisty a couple nights ago. They're definitely quicker than the last gen, but still not quick enough. They should be decent with a reflash.

2.0t... 0-60 in 5.4? 1/4 in 14 flat? Not bad for a 2 liter sedan... Lol

was much needed.. but its still behind when you compare other cars in its class
the 3rd gen tl 6spd is over a decade old and is still quicker than the 2017 A4

Over 2 years and 20k+ miles. I actually melted the top of the inserts (media) a bit over this time because I was running rich, but they held up, did not plug up, no difference in driveability. RV6 stood behind their product and I got new ones at low cost and now that I'm tuned, they should last quite a while. Have no fear, just don't wait too long before you tune it.

yeah not bad, but not great either.. i felt the A4 lineup always lacked power... the new bump in power in the newer models
was much needed.. but its still behind when you compare other cars in its class

i was oringally talking about the front wheel drive 2017 A4... it's 0-60 is 6.1 seconds which is something a 3rd gen 6spd can match and a type-s 6spd can beat (0-60 5.5seconds)... unfortunately i couldnt find 1/4 times for the front wheel drive versions just yet... but to say a 6MT Type S can barely keep up? i duno id like to see actual 1/4 times before i believe that
but again my main point was the A4 lineup when talking about just performance always seemed a little lack luster if you compare it with other cars in its class or price range
back in 05 my friend bought a brand new Audi A4 6spd MT quattro and another friend of mine bought a 2005 accord v6
they raced and he got smoked every single time... ive never seen him so sad when he realized his audi was slower than a honda

So as long as my car is stock, won't be racing you.

At least the G35 was dealer serviced religiously by the original owner so that should help.

I have an '04 6MT base sedan G35, it actually weighs about 40 lbs less than the coupe! Total stripper car, only options are the mud guards and trunk mat. No sunroof either. Definitely quick, contemporary road tests say 14.2 @ 99 mph stock. Half the price of a TL Type S 6MT and it drives the proper end of the car. But I know it won't be as reliable so there's that.
So as long as my car is stock, won't be racing you.

FX35 in winter is at around 16mpg all city and summer it's around 20mpg all city.

Ironic as fuck...total sleeper, that's super loud and everyone looks at
not sure why you wouldn't pay homage to a guy that probably gave you inspiration to lose the weight to begin with. What does him selling it have to do with anything? THAT guy's thread wasn't documentation enough that you're literally not really a pioneer in this regard?

oh for sure, the 6spd v6 from the 7th gen and onward are very quick considering its a family commuter car... pretty sure i heard the 8th or 9th gen accords are actually underrated and make 10 to 15 more hp than whats listed from factory
