weekend Mod

Just thought I'd post some pics of what I did this weekend.

Please feel free to add your weekend projects to this thread so I can check out this tread if I want to do a quick mod.

I covered interior silver plastic trim with 3d carbon fiber vinyl. Was easy and cheap.

even decided to do my key since the silver part was rubbing off and looking worn.

Need to redo the bottom part some silver still showing.

Let me know what you guys think.

thx Sandro. I didn't do the central tunnel yet because I want to take it appart so I can do a nice job. I will post pics once completed.

I am very pleased with the job on the key because I was very disappointed in the original quality of the key. Not to mention now it matches my interior and is more personalized. Like what BMW is doing with the new 3 series key in same color as car.

Nice! Is it as shiny as it looks in the pix? I always loved the matte CF trim in the M3s.

heres pics of the tunnel. I had to take it all apart in order to do it so it took a little longer.

its not that shiny. Its just because of the flash.

I had to take it apart. But very easy to do. just use a coin on bottom of key.

You need a hair dryer to soften and stretch the vinyl but other than that easy.

Its not as shiny in person. I acutally did it because I liked it in my brothers M3. Im very happy with the look. Looks oem in my opinion. Plus chances of someone seeing another zdx interior is pretty slim to none where I live so nothing to compare it too.
